Ground-breaking ideas are common at Bighorn. They have been foundational elements since its 1996 purchase by Chairman R.D. Hubbard and 20 forward-thinking members. A leading community recognized for a visionary commitment to progress and excellence. For two decades, Hubbard’s outside-the-box perspectives have shaped a lifestyle and future enjoyed by members and envied by others, developing Bighorn into one of the most prestigious and innovative golf and residential communities in the world. Now in its 20th season, Bighorn hosts a dizzying roster of amenities including tournament-ready golf, a world-class spa and wellness center, seven restaurants from fine dining to bistro chic, a bustling marketplace with a Starbucks coffee bar, a golf learning center, a thriving tennis program, firstclass transportation and concierge services. The ‘Innovation Club’ boldly presses its advantage with plans for a new Clubhouse unlike any other.
With four, 5,000-7,500 sf luxury penthouses designed by the world-renowned Guy Dreier – BIGHORN has merged privacy, stunning views and the ultimate concierge lifestyle.
Designed by the award-winning architectural firm Swaback Partners, the contemporary design of the Clubhouse employs a breathtaking use of space and light to blend timeless style with new state-of-the-art amenities. The Pour House restaurant, known for its hip vibe and relaxed atmosphere, features expansive views and will take center stage for indoor/outdoor dining. The new Men’s and Women’s Locker Rooms set on either side of the restaurant will enjoy the natural light and offer full-service restaurants within.
Both an indoor and outdoor banquet facilities will service the club’s 100+ special events throughout the year, while the glass-enclosed Golf Boutique will infuse Madison Avenue chic with the service and quality merchandise that earned a place as one of ‘America’s Top 100 Golf Shops.’ Bighorn’s dramatic 1,100-foot elevation, stunning terrain and history-making tournament play have made the club’s two golf courses some of the sport’s most legendary. With seven of its 18 holes built right into its rugged rock outcroppings, the 6,871-yard Mountains Course was designed by Arthur Hills while the Tom Fazio-designed, 7,083 yard Canyons Course features wide fairways that flow elegantly around the natural slopes of the landscape and offer both mountain and valley views.
BIGHORN’s new Clubhouse is as much about living, playing and entertaining as it is about enjoying a spectacular game of golf.R.D. HUBBARD, Bighorn Chairman
Many aspects of the property differentiate Bighorn from other exclusive clubs in the country, but perhaps none as much as the The Vault. Home to the rare and top end cars like an original 1933 Cadillac Chrome Limousine, a 1932 Ford Custom Roadster, and a 2008 Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR, The Vault is more than just a museum, it’s a complete experience where members can engage with family and friends.
But what is most impressive about Bighorn, is the club’s unwavering commitment to giving back to the community. In November, Bighorn will be awarded Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation by the Association of Fundraising Professionals for their collaborative efforts in producing Bighorn Cares gifting 85 grants to well deserving non-profits, Bighorn Behind a Miracle who has raised $6.5 million for local cancer patient services and equipment, and its Scholarship programs.
